In summer it is possible to preorder tickets for the castle which gives priority in the queue until 12:00. If you prefer to buy tickets at the ticket office upon arrival, that works perfectly fine. The castle has a maximum capacity so sometimes there may be a short wait at the entrance, but it rarely lasts long.
All guided tours, exhibitions, and children’s activities are included in the admission price.
Kalmar Castle Restaurant offers lunch, coffee or just something small and tasty. It is also possible to book larger dinners, for example for a company or a wedding.
The castle restaurant follows the castle’s open days, but sometimes with different hours. You can find menu, hours and contact information under Restaurant.
Our castle restaurant is operated in collaboration with Restaurant Postgatan. Through this collaboration, we enrich Kalmar Castle with Postgatan’s recognized joy of food and service.

The companion should receive information from castle staff about evacuation possibilities and what responsibilities are involved.
